Sweet and Realistic

I loved Kimberly Williams in "Father of the Bride" and Campbell Scott in "Dying Young" and they were simply so cute in this film. I couldn't believe how Marker could walk out on Diane and Julia like that, information technology was disgusting and it makes you wonder about the real life struggles single mothers confront. It was sweet how Dave was always in love with her and stood by her no matter what happened to her and Julia.

Something I reckon if your into feel good movies

An amazing, heartwarming motion-picture show

Warning: Spoilers

I have seen this movie twice at present, and recollect information technology is and then touching and brilliant, it brings tears to my eyes every time. The closeness of Julia and Amy is beautiful, and I find myself crying at the screen at Amy's hardships, and at times, such as when Buddy takes Amy's dog, I tin't watch considering it's too painful. But that only goes to show how well acted it is.

The performance shown by both Kimberley Williams and Amanda and Caitlin Fein is outstanding, as is Alexa's performance. The bond that develops between Amy and Dianne is as well beautiful, and unforgettable.

Seeing this has made me want to read the novel, and I would definitely recommend everyone saw this movie.

Follow the Stars Home- Triumph Over Adversity ****

A marvelous film despite the fact that there is so much going on. A doctor, who never married, should have married his sister-in-law. Instead, she is married to his brother, a nice guy who can't have tragic events. He couldn't visit his dying mother in the infirmary when he was 12 and years later, he divorces his wife considering she is nigh to give nascence to a very sick kid who will non last that long. (Supposedly).

The film shows how the mother and grandmother devoted 6 years to the child. A 2nd plot in beautifully inter-connected with the main theme when an older child takes a summertime job to assistance the female parent intendance for the child. This young lady comes from a broken home, where the mother's swain routinely abuses her mother and creates mayhem.

Imagine the mother taking the young girl to San Francisco to see a play and they're hit past a drunken commuter. Her ex-husband comes to the hospital and has it out with his brother and there is some terrific scene in the end when it appeared that the couple would reconcile. This story ended extremely well.

This is definitely a story of triumph defeating adversity. It is extremely well acted. It'south great to view despite the tragic circumstances involving all.

True and somewhat Heartwarming

I simply finished seeing this picture show, and to be honest I only turned in because nothing else was on and it starred Kimberly Williams in a leading part.

I was very surprised how the motion picture got to me, it wasn't artificial Hollywood feelings or the great cinematography as you lot see it in Sam Mendes and co. great dramatic films. This film just has a lot of smashing actors, a subtle soundtrack and a peachy story.

This is definitely one of the best TV-films I've ever seen, that didn't star a mayor Hollywood name or several.

This is the league of In a Course of His Ain which I also detect tranquility good, but this one is a bit better.

unusual storyline

This pic deals with the unusual subject of bringing up a severely disabled child. Although the plot does get a little convoluted, the moving-picture show does convey a deeper pro-life message: all life, no matter how short, how precarious, how humble, is worthwhile. This message applies not only to the disabled child, but to the female parent who cares for her constantly. The mother'south cede is not, as 1 graphic symbol states, "six years wasted." Instead, the moving picture tries to give some dignity to people society would like to forget. Unfortunately some of the subplots and flashback techniques tin can make the film difficult to follow at times. I would definitely recommend this film for adolescents and adults-- the bailiwick matter may be too intense for elementary-age viewers.

Great Novel Adaption

Wow! This movie was simply amazing! I went out and bought the book the next 24-hour interval! I couldn't believe a cheesy picture of the week could be this expert. The moving picture is honest, centre warming and truthful well-nigh the ignorance of people and the mistakes we brand. We not simply are left to think "Did Dianne make the right choices in the movie?" but too think "Why would I do in her situation? Should she have had Julia? Would i react the same as her hubby did? Is it wrong to date your brother in police force? Should Julia's doctor actually have been her uncle? What should exist done with calumniating boyfriends and alcoholics? Not bad movie! Buy it when Hallmark releases the video!

I love this movie!

While on the surface this seems like a 'girl marries wrong guy' movie, information technology truly is so much more. The storyline moves a bit also fast, so you must pay attending...very close attention.

Afterward Dianne and Mark find out their baby will exist built-in with genetic disorders, Mark wants to abort the pregnancy; Dianne refuses - Mark takes off. Plain Mark has unresolved issues nearly his mother'south death in a hospital - but the movie gives very few details or background, so Mark doesn't generate any sympathy from the viewer.

If simply he were more than like his brother, David (the first-class Campbell Scott) - the soft-spoken, long-suffering doctor who keeps his love for Dianne to himself while helping her to accept intendance of his niece.

The supporting cast is very good, especially Alexa Vega. The catastrophe is a real tear-jerker (get the tissues set up), and my favorite role of the movie.

Some people don't care for these simple movies about triumphing over adversity, merely I call up information technology'south wonderful - and you will too.

Simple, pleasant film shown on the Authentication channel.

Alarm: Spoilers

Typical for Hallmark presentations, this rather simple story could have been told in a thirty-minutes film short, but was stretched to occupy the ii-hour TV broadcast (with commercials). Kimberly Williams (of Father of the Helpmate fame) plays Dianne, a single enterprising carpenter in town. During the first viii minutes of the motion-picture show, she meets, falls in beloved with, marries, and gets pregnant with Marking, the brother of the town dr. David McCune, played ably by Campbell Scott. So, when clinical tests signal that the infant will be defective and partially disabled, Mark skips out. So the main of the moving picture is how Dianne and her support group (mom, friends, Dr. David, etc) deal with the daughter. Alexa Vega, about the same fourth dimension that she appeared in Spy Kids, plays the immature girl who befriends the daughter.

SPOILERS FOLLOW. Information technology is clear from the very showtime that David, the Dr., had feelings for Dianne and was distraught when his blood brother met her and quickly swept her away. With untrustworthy brother Mark gone for years, he is able to stay friends with Dianne. When the girl is near 6 or 7, an accident injures Dianne, and a phone telephone call brings Mark back. He learns that his girl may just live a few more months, and tries to get his wife back. But she is wise to him, in the end Doc David proposes and they are destined to exist happy together.

Better than an avg Hallmark film

Warning: Spoilers

Not predictable. Satisfying storyline. Unique twists.

This story is about Diane, a single mother of special needs girl Julia, who has severe handicaps that return her severely limited and give a very short life expectancy. The movie begins with a dramatic automobile accident in which Diane (portrayed by Kimberly Williams Paisley) is injured in a terrible accident.

The movie immediately flashes back to Diane'due south youth and shows how she met and married her husband Mark. They are happy until they learn that Diane is pregnant and before Babe Julia is born, they discover that she is dreadfully sick. Mark unable to cope with this tragedy wants Diane to have an abortion, so they can motility on with their lives. He promises her they will have more children, healthier children in the future. When Diane refuses to requite Julia upward, Mark abandons them both.

As time goes on Diane raises Julia on her ain (helped past her female parent and Marking's brother David, a pediatrician who has e'er loved Diane. It'due south non subtle.) The focus is on Julia's unique life. The good twist arrives in the firm of Amy, a young daughter who befriends Julia. Though Julia tin can't speak or sign, somehow she and Amy are able to communicate. Amy even demonstrates cognition of onetime toys she shouldn't know about or exactly how Julia is feeling or what she is wanting. This is very well done.

The film finally catches up to the opening scene where Diane is injured. She is taken to a infirmary. Bc she was using an one-time purse she hadn't carried for years, her ex-husband Marking's menu is in the pocket, and oddly enough the number is the aforementioned.

The 2 reconnect as she recovers, and Marker proposes. At first Diane seems ready to take Mark dorsum, but when it becomes clear that he still has no feeling for Julia and that her life holds no value to him, Diane kicks Mark out of their lives for good.

Nearly well again she returns to her life, and at the climax of the movie, Amy reveals to Diane that Julia is grateful for Diane and her life. Despite the difficulties, she's glad to exist live.

In an epilogue type ending, Diane finds love with David (greatest proposal E'er: Ally me and eliminate lower back hurting... lol) & the story ends with friends and family unit gathered together in David and Diane's backyard for a party.

At that place was no miraculous healing, and this picture did not focus on Julia's death. Rather it portrayed her equally wild and fearless and brave. It was the story of a mother who wasn't the victim of her child'southward illness but simply a mom rooting for her daughter and building a life with her.

Good performances by Kimberly Williams and a young Alexa Delvega. The paving could take been improve. All effectually however, a good show.

Deeply touching and instructive

Alarm: Spoilers

My wife says that she likes deeply touching and tragic films--and I do too. This movie was but that. The theme wasn't superficial or unrealistic. Rather, it touches the heart for probably almost viewers could imagine being in such a situation.

Now, a few comments on the contents. First, the movie shows that true love is to be sacrificial. We sacrifice our ain wants and wishes and expectations for the benefit of the honey. This is just what the mother in the movie did. Information technology is a lesson for us.

Second, I found function of the movie to be unrealistic. The mother had the full support of her mother (who even quit her task for the disabled granddaughter). The mother didn't need to piece of work for she stayed home all day with her handicapped child. They lived in a huge house by the beach. I doubt that this would describe more than than 1% of mothers of such children.

Third, this was a reminder that but God can give life--and but He has the right to accept life. No mere mortal has the option of killing one'due south baby--whether probing or later on birth.

Fourth, since I believe in Biblical morality, I must object to the female parent'due south remarriage. Scripture says that if one divorces her husband on grounds other than his unrepentant adultery, she herself enters an cheating relationship. As kind, loving, and responsible every bit the md-brother was, there should have been no new spousal relationship.

All in all, we found the movie very touching and a reminder that life is not always pleasant, peaceful, and plenteous. No, tragedy does come and we need to trust God in the most trying of circumstances. I'chiliad glad for the mother's choice to continue her sugariness little baby.
